Why join UCU?

UCU is one of the two trade unions (the other being Unison) officially recognised by Bath Spa University as collectively representing its staff.

 

Who can join UCU? 

Anyone who works as an academic, lecturer, trainer, instructor, researcher, administrator, manager, computer staff, librarian or postgraduate in a UK university, college, prison, adult education or training organisation can join UCU.

I am concerned about my Workload. What should I do?

Firstly, check the university’s Workload Planner Sharepoint – https://bathspaonline.sharepoint.com/sites/WorkloadPlanner-com
Look through your Workload allocation in the the WLP Portal.
Make sure that the correct tariffs have been applied – WLP Tariff Framework – AY24-25 – FINAL 260724.pdf

I am concerned about a health and safety issue at work. What should I do?

It is best if you raise it with your line manager first but, if you are not satisfied with the response or do not want to use this route , complete a form by clicking on the link below.
All members of staff can raise their concerns with union Health and Safety representatives whether they are a member of the unions or not.
